As you know Diesel cars always give more mileage than petrol models than you must go for Diesel if you don't have any issue about the budget.
As Diesel models are little bit more costlier and even maintenance is also expensive than petrol.
The petrol prices are increases then the both will cost you same. So I would genuinely suggest you to prefer Maruti Swift Diesel.
Swift Cars are best car to prefer.

Yes like code name has suggested you if you want to drive your car on regular basis then diesel would be the best one to drive. if you go occasionally for drive and you can go for petrol car.

    Hi geet
See it depend how much you travel daily. If you have to trevel around 80 to 90 kms or more daily then you need to have swift diesel it will save you money as petrol price is almost double then diesel now if you need to travel less or 15 to 20 kms in the city then go for petrol because diesel need more maintenance then petrol version.

Petrol swift is a driver's car. You can get that quick pick-up and feels the adreline. But diesel is a slow car. They have tuned it for mileage. So if you want to enjoy the ride petrol is the best but as the petrol prices are concerned diesel is a good option. :D
