Tata Motors in its endeavor to enhance the scope of its defense business offers an extensive portfolio of combat vehicles, troop carriers, tactical vehicles, logistics vehicles and equipment. At the DEFEXPO India 2012 that concluded recently, Tata Motors showcased a range of new concepts of defense vehicles including, the new Tata Safari Storme GS 800 and the Tata Safari Storme Armoured.

The Tata Safari Storme GS 800 4WD in its olive green cladding is being seen as a high mobility platform that will be used for transporting officers during peacetime, as well as during conflicts, across locations in India. The GS 800 was designed and developed by the Indian automaker in-house and in-line with the requirement of the Defence forces.

The Tata Safari Storme Armoured, on the other hand is being seen as a very safe vehicle that is equipped with the state-of-art-technology for catering to the VVIP movement in the forces. The Storme Armoured dons a strengthened chassis and suspension system and enhanced braking to tackle the additional armored weight.
Tata Motors also showcased a new Micro Bullet Proof Vehicle (MBPV) at the DEFEXPO 2012, which is a highly combat vehicle that will be used for indoor combat inside airports, railway stations and other such infrastructure. The concept is the first of its kind design to assist the country's elite force in indoor combat.

Besides, the company also launched four other defense vehicles - the Tata 12X12 Prahaar Missile Carrier, the Tata Light Armoured Vehicle, the Tata Mobile Bunker and the Tata 6X6 7kI Refueler and also displayed a range of other concept vehicles, such as the Tata Quick Deployment Mobile Communication Terminal. Tata Safari is undoubtedly a good car but the main problem with it is its maintenance cost and its mileage,Hope this will not be a problem in Safari Storme and one of its competitor Chevrolet is coming with New Chevrolet Captiva which is the the facelift version of Chevrolet Captiva in the next two to three weeks. The new Captiva will be powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine driving a power of 184 BHP.

After the successful launch of Tata Nano So Maruti Suzuki India has announced to launch a new generation version of Most popular SUV Tata Safari in Indian Market by the end of this year. Prices start from 9 lakh for the base model of Diesel. Really Tata Safari is most popular SUV in India and that's a great news for Indian car buyers.

    Hi,
The all new Tata Storme has a very improved cabin in terms of space and comfort. The headroom and legroom at the rear, front and the 3rd row are above average.

Tata Safari comes with powerful 2.2 litre VTT engine, which gives superb experience of driving. The moment you hold the steering you will get confidence, even if you try to apply acceleration slowly the car jerks, it shows the enormous power behind it.
