Honda will launch its new CR-V on 12th February. The new Honda CR-V it seems could not have come at a better time as with rising diesel prices demand for petrol SUVs is bound to go up. This new SUV will build on the strengths of the current model like its smooth engine, spacious interiors while adding good looks and new features.
The shape is still curvy and futuristic plus the size means the new CR-V will attract quite a lot of attention. The front bumper is joined by a horizontal three-bar grille and deep-set headlights. The lower front bumper is designed to convey SUV capability with a generous approach angle. The CR- V’s signature vertical rear brake lights, which debuted on the original model, remain but introduce a more three-dimensional style.

Just like the exterior the interior carries on the design of the current model but with a new look. The major controls have been further grouped according to their function, with a ‘driver interface zone’ behind the steering wheel and an ‘information interface zone’ in the centre of the cabin. With the rear seats folded flat, the boot capacity of the CR-V has grown by 148 litres to 1648 litres and with the seats folded up, the boot capacity is a capacious 589 litres.
The new CR-V is very well equipped with all the features that you would expect. For customers who like to sit at the back there is enough room and its comfy. Engine wise there are two options- the updated 2.4 litre engine which promises more efficiency and better performance plus the 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine. There will be manual and automatic options on offer with the 2.4 engine mated to a auto and the 2.0 with a manual. However the real deal clincher is that Honda will now assemble the new CR-V in India which means a very competitive price
