Nissan unveiled 'the Sunny' back in January and it’s supposed to be sold in close to 170 countries. In China where it is currently sold, the car uses a 1.5-litre inline four engine that makes 109PS. The India launch is rumoured to be in the later half of 2012. Recently however, the car was spotted in India on a test run. By the look of things it seems the car might reach our market sooner than we had thought. We expect to see the 1.5-litre diesel as well as the 1.2-litre petrol that currently power the Micra. We expect the car, bearing a name specific for India, to be positioned opposite the Maruti Dzire and the Mahindra Verito in price.
