Maruti Suzuki sees dip in sales for Jan

    [​IMG]Car-making giant Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has revealed a drop in its sales volume for the month of January. The dip has been reported at 1.06 per cent that converts to 114,205 units in terms of figures. A company statement said that the same period during the last year saw sales in the domestic sector touch the 103,026 mark. At that time, it saw a hike in sales by 1.96 per cent. The highest sales were registered on cars in the home market and this led to a growth at a marginal level.

    The mini cars from the company including M800 and WagonR saw drop in sales levels by about 10.68 per cent last year. Maruti Suzuki said that there was a further drop by 6.79 per cent in sales of compact-segment cars from the company. However, the sedan in the luxury segment, Kizashi saw nil sales last year as opposed to mediocre sales that SX4 registered.
