Maruti Ritz Automatic launch. The Ritz Automatic is available in only petrol version and it is the highest model VXI that has got the automatic transmission option. The automatic transmission is a four speed type and it has been mated to the popular K Series 1.2 L engine that does its duty under the hood of the manual transmission car. The reason why Maruti has launched the automatic version is because of the recent rise in demand for automatic cars in the country. Also the Ritz AT will be competing with the Honda Brio AT that is becoming the talk of the town recently.

Powered with K-series engine, automatic Ritz is competent to offer a perfect balance of soft drive, high performance and great mileage of 17.6 kmpl, which is about 1.33 kmpl lesser than its manual version. Though pricing details for automatic Ritz are still under covers, but car’s launch only in Vxi petrol variant gives an impression that prices are reserved on levels.

Great scoop! Looks like Honda Brio AT could have some competition now! Ritz will be powered by the existing 1.2-litre KB12 motor that produces 87PS of power at 6,000rpm that is mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
