Maruti is the most trusted and favourite brand of India which has been actively present on the canvas of the Indian automobile industry since 1983 and has been producing wonderful cars since then. This year, its brand new automotive Ertiga has made an explosive entrance into the MPV section.

Maruti Ertiga is an amazing combination of luxury and comfort creating an entirely new segment in the automobile industry which is named as LUV or Life Utility Vehicle by the auto maker. This seven seater monocoque is available in seven models out of which four are petrol variants namely – LXI, VXI, VXI ABS, ZXI and three are diesel variants namely – LDI, VDI, ZDI price tagged between Rs. 5, 88,999 and Rs. 8, 44,999 in 7 lively colours.

The petrol variant uses up K series (K 14) 1.4 litre petrol engine of 1373cc displacement that produces a power of 95 PS at 6000 RPM and a maximum torque of 130 Nm at 4000 RPM. The diesel version uses a 1.3 litre DDis super turbo diesel motor of 1248cc displacement which delivers a maximum power of 90PS at 4000 RPM and top torque of 200 Nm at 1750 RPM.

This mini MPV uses up independent MacPherson struts as its front suspension and non independent torsion beam as the rear suspension. You have a smooth ride and feel no bumps with the presence of genuine turning circle radius and less body roll that ensures better stability. The steering is also light and easy to handle.

Maruti Ertiga is a MUV. Maruti Suzuki India is all set to shake the 7-seater MUV market with the launch of Maruti Ertiga at the 2012 auto expo in New Delhi. This MPV, codenamed RIII is said to be based on the Ritz platform, is a sever seater MPV and this available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Designed to appeal to big Indian families looking for an ideal blend of everyday usability.

Maruti has done an impressive job on the insides too. In fact, the packaging is increadibly clever with plenty of versatility engineered into the cabin. The Ertiga is supremely flexible in terms of space and seating and it makes us wonder why more cars can’t be like it. Even with all the seats up, there is useful boot space and you can easily carry two small-sized bags in the rear, which is hard to do in the Xylo.
