the hybrid doesn't make much sense in india..start stop traffic..its only when u r cruising on a motorway do you really exploit the full potential of a hybrid(thats when its batteries come into play), in stop and go traffic, the engine has to do most of the work..which is a 1.5l in the case of the prius..so it'll give the same mileage as a normal 1.5l, probably even less because its lugging around that heavy battery pack. and the prius is also very very expensive..so unless you have to start taking loans for buying petrol, the hybrid won't succeed...!

i was impressed by the sales figures of the figo...too bad i scrolled down to compare it to the i20 and swift..:)

well the vento's a new player in that field...given time..i think it will fare much better than what its doing right now, honda has its own brand of city loyalist, and let's not forget the city has now been around for over 10 years, so its ingrained itself as a permanent occupant in that segment, but i think as far as the sales go..you'll be able to spot a trend in the sales of the city, honda needs to do something and fast, the third generation city was by far the best selling one(the one with iDSI(twin spark or whatever)), after the Vento has planted itself in the market, we can expect much better..!
