Figo’s 1399 cc four cylinder Diesel engine produces 69 PS of power and an adequate 160 Nm of torque. But even a lower displacement 1248 cc mill on the Ritz manages to overpower this with its award winning DDis engine churning out 75 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque.

Fuel economy of Figo is paltry 13 km/ltr in the city and 17 km/ltr on the highway vs 20 km/ltr and 25 km/ltr of Maruti Ritz.

Both cars are capable of doing 150 km/h.

Prices of the 1.4 Diesel mill model of the Ford Figo range from 4.58 lakhs to 5.48 lakhs depending on the variant of your choice. The Maruti Ritz on the other hand is priced between 4.84 and 5.39 lakhs with the highest price tag for a fully equipped ABS version.

Other major difference between Ritz and Figo is that, Figo got much larger leg room for the rear seat passengers than any other car in this class.

    Verdict

Figo provides a lot of bang for your buck but Maruti Ritz will be our choice for dealer network, maintenance costs and resale value.

Ford's brand value is quite poor in the indian market, and for good reason, because after the josh of the josh machine(ford ikon) died down, ford really didn't take the indian market quite seriously, and thats why the consumer interest died down, now even tho with a good product on the market, they won't do particularly well because of poor consumer trust....! its not the failure of the product but of the company..!
