    2012 Honda Pilot Overview

    The 2012 Honda Pilot is available in four model choices (Pilot LX, EX, EX-L and Touring), and each is offered in either 2-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive configuration.

    For 2012, Honda Pilot receives a wide range of upgrades from a sleeker front-end design to enhanced interior features. The 2012 Honda Pilot 2WD model is more efficient with a rating of 25 mpg which is 2 mpg better than 2011 MY.

    The most noticeable changes of 2012 Honda Pilot involves with the front and the wheels. The front fascia of the 2012 Honda Pilot is redesigned with a three-bar chrome style grille. Combination of the new refreshed front and the new 18-inch six-spke aluminum wheels (17-inch styled steel on Pilot LX) makes the SUV look more sophisticated.

    Interior, 2012 Honda Pilot changes include instrument panel refinement with more intuitive button layout. The 2012 Honda Pilot’s audio system is upgraded for Honda Pilot EX and EX-L models which include a 2 GB CD-Library (CD-L) and Bluetooth Audio Streaming, along with the addition of Bluetooth HandsFreeLink.

    For customers who are interested in bigger screen display, the Honda Pilot EX-L is now available for upgrade with the full-color 8-inch display screen for audio and for other vehicle related information.

    Performance wise, 2012 Honda Pilot still uses with the same 250 horsepower i-VTEC V-6 engine as in 2011 MY. However, the engine is now included with additional measures for friction reduction and improved efficiency. Therefore, the 2012 pilot becomes quieter. 2012 Honda Pilot Gas Mileage improves for 2012 with an estimated city/highway/combined fuel economy of 17/24/20 mpg on 4WD models and 18/25/21 mpg on 2WD models. With this MPG improvement, the 2012 Honda Pilot 2WD becomes the highest fuel economy of any 8-passenger SUV and the 2012 Honda Pilot 4WD becomes the highest fuel economy for any mid-size 4WD SUV.

    Colors available for 2012 Honda Pilot include Alabaster Silver Metallic, Bali Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Dark Cherry Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic, Taffeta White, White Diamond Pearl, new Dark Amber Metallic (replaces Mocha Metallic) and new Glacier White (Pilot Touring). Fabric and leather interior color choices, which are matched to selected exterior colors, include beige, black or gray.
