Celebrating 25th anniversary, Acura announced a new version of TSX Sports Sedan for 2012 MY. According to Acura, the new TSX Special Edition was designed to target performance-minded buyers. The 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition will make its debut at the Orange County International Auto Show and will go on sale in late September of 2011. Besides keeping the same Acura’s engine, the 2012 Acura TSX SE will have numerous exterior and interior upgrades. On the outside at the first glance, an exclusive “Special Edition” badge is seen on the trunk-lid. In addition, the 2012 Acura SE is seen to be installed with a more aggressive front spoiler and rear bumper fascia. The 2012 Acura SE will run on 17×7.5″ 5-spoke aluminum rims with choices of polished finished or dark grey. Inside, the seating surfaces is made with perforated black Lux Suede inserted with red backing. Red stitching are seen on the seats, steering wheels and leather covered shift knob. Lightning for the instrument cluster gauges, overhead and foot-well are also red. All the pedals are aluminum covers with a race-inspired look. Performance wise, it could be a bad news for those expecting a big change in performance. the 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition uses Acura’s K24 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and will be available with either the 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmissions.
