2011 Volkswagen Golf R German carmaker Volkswagen has revealed new Golf R.Its significantly different to the regular Golf with respect to exterior design presented comparison.2011 VW Golf R is am all-wheel driven car. As the flagship of the model series it is equipped with standard Bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights. It is the most fuel-efficient Golf R of all times, more fuel efficient than the previous model. The 2011 VW Golf R has an engine V-6 powered R32 but it makes do with a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder mill. The new engine is rated at 265 horsepower–the most powerful production Golf ever. Combined with a sophisticated all-wheel drive system and either a manual or DSG dual-clutch gearbox. The 2011 Golf R is capable of propelling to 62 mph from rest in 5.5 seconds when equipped with the optional DSG dual-clutch gearbox. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.Average fuel consumption is about 21% better than the R32, up to 27.7 mpg combined according to Volkswagen–not bad considering the hatch tips the scales at more than 3,353 pounds for manual models and almost 3,400 pounds for DSG-equipped cars. The all new Golf R looks the part too, with a chunky front fascia gulping cooling air through oversize slatted corner inlets trimmed with white daytime running lights. Darkly tinted LED taillight clusters, gloss black rearview mirror housings, the twin tailpipes, a roof spoiler and that fender-filling wheel/tire package all add up to a mean countenance. Inside, there are fantastically bolstered high-back seats (racing shells optional), that fat 3-spoke wheel, stainless steel pedal covers and R logos in various places, including embroidery on the headrests and etched in the aluminum interior trim.
