Hyundai i10 magna or Hyundai verna diesel

I am wondering if members here could throw some light on the average of i10 Magna from Hyundai Motors. One my close relative is planning to buy this car and he was worried if the average isn't what the company claims to be.

I have heard from some people and also from a mechanic that the average of i10 magna is around 14-15 during city drive and around 17-18 kmpl on Highway.

I am not sure about the effectiveness of the AC and what are the numbers with AC.

Maybe, its better to buy the new Hyundai Verna Diesel as its having better average.

Please suggest.

I think Hyundai Verna diesel will be the best among these two as according to the mileage.

can't really compare as the two cars are in different segments and price range.

Yes they are of different segments but when we compare with having a diesel option then I must say to choose diesel car.
Again the same thing Diesel car are better in performance and give more mileage than petrol.
By taking all aspects Hyundai Verna Diesel is best to buy.

Let me list down the things I observed (features):

* Tiltable steering wheel
* driver's armrest
* footrest
* height adjustable front seat belts
* rear centre seat headrest (probably one of the few cars that has this)
* power windows and mirrors, with one touch auto down for the driver's
window
* centre cabin light
* fully automatic climate control
* front map lamps
* twin digital tripmeters with a trip computer showing distance to empty
etc
* pleasing green illumination for the instrument cluster
* automatic transmission gear position indicator in the instrument cluster
(P, R, D, N, etc)
* illumination only for the driver's power window switch
* boot lamp centrally mounted, ensuring a good spread of the light
* luggage net
* good seating posture, though a tad low; good legroom too
* rear seat centre armrest with built in cupholders

well if i have to choose between this car then i would go for hyundai verna as nick has already mentioned in details about this car.
