Everyone here as right to express their own views and has an authority to comment any thread. However there are still some set of rules that one most follow to remain in the forum.

Please take you time to read the following rules:

1. Please do no post unnecessary replies in the thread. Keep it nice and clean

2. Please take your time to read the post and then reply with appropriate comments and please do not use offensive words and Shorthand such as: TFS (thanks for sharing), LOL, THX.

3. Any adult/pornographic image posting would get you an instant ban

4. Member is responsible for his/her own action. Please do no share your personal information with anyone and if you do, CarTalk plays no role in resolving the addressed issue. Prevention is better then the cure.

5. Please do not copy paste information from other websites. If you do please make sure you post a reference down the bottom to give the credits to the source website.

6. No marketing. Members are prohibited from marketing with regards to auto/car parts or any other commercial or non-commercial good or service. However, one can use the Buy/Sell portion of the site to sell the automotive merchandise. In case of buying and selling, please take care to insure the genuineness of the buyer and the items before payment. Car Talk has no liability in case something goes wrong.

7. No personal attacks. This community is bound by the member's love for cars and everything automotive. Although, we know at times there will be disagreements among members on certain points. However, rather then displaying emotions in public threads, one should resolve these by personal messages. In case the disagreement still persists, please contact a mod. His/her decision will be final & binding.

8. We would also appreciate if you can use the search feature before posting as to avoid duplication of information. Also, thread titles should be in accordance with the information as this makes sorting information easier.

9. If you require any clearance on rules or have any questions, post in the Feedback thread or contact Cartalk Staff members or moderators. We are here to help you.


Failure to abide by the rules will result in infractions and repeat offenders will be permanently banned from Car Talk.
