Just down sized the footwear on my Maruti Zen from 185/65/R13 to 165/65/R13 size. Wider tyres were touching the car body. Tires are 'Yokohama A-Drive'. Cost Rs3200 a piece. |

@dhillon...i think if you upsized correctly...then your downsize is wrong...ideally it should have been a 165/75 to maintain the same ride hieght(near about)..! its gonna mess up your mileage also(not actually because you are still gonna be running the same distance)...because your odo is set to the original hieght of the tire..!

The steering is lighter now but the car seems slightly less stable now, with 185s it was like driving on rails |

with the weight in the back, i think all u could do is just get a stiffer suspension in order to prevent the rubbing. you could also get different wheels with negative camber, heres a pic that might help. http://www.barrystyre.co.uk/cdata/27...41_893738i.jpg this way the top of the wheel sits more back. in the end u have to spend money and lose ride quality.

| stock hieght: 145/70 = 101.5mm(twh) rail tyres hieght: 185/65: = 120.25mm(twh) downsized tyre hieght : 165/65 : 107.25mm(twh) so yeah you are closer to stock..but ideally the rail tyre upsize shulda been 185/55: 101.75mm, |
